Fedora Core 5には、Helix Playerが入っていますが、
ろくに再生できません。
なので、
リアルプレイヤーをインストールしましょう。

1. ダウンロード
Real Player for Linuxのページから"Download RealPlayer"を押して、RealPlayer10GOLD.binをダウンロードします。
2. インストール
#./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin
./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory
といわれ、インストールできませんでした。
# yum -y install compat-libstdc++-33
# ./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin
Extracting files for RealPlayer installation........................
Welcome to the RealPlayer (10.0.6.776) Setup for UNIX
Setup will help you get RealPlayer running on your computer.
Press [Enter] to continue...
あとは、メッセージに従ってインストールするだけです。
起動画面（画面の内容は、表示できませんでした。）
3. Firefoxで自動でRealPlayerが起動されるようにする
RealPlayerをインストールしただけでは、
Firefoxから自動で起動できません。
mplayerのインストール
をした人は、
リンクの拡張子が.rmなどRealPlayer用のものでも、
mplayerが立ち上がってしまいます。
そこで、
# rm /usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.2/componets/mplayerplug-in-rm.xpt
# rm /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/mplayerplug-in-rm.so
# rm /usr/lib/mozilla/components/mplayerplug-in-rm.xpt
として、mplayerのリアルプレイヤーサポートを解除します。
そして、
リアルガイドのページの"play"をクリックし、
プラグインのインストールが表示されるので、
クリックして、
インストールする。をクリックします。
もちろん、リナックスでは、この方法では、インストールできず、
何もできません。
この時点で、RealPlayerをインストールしていますし^^;
あとは、もう一度"play"をクリックすると、
下の図のように表示されるので、
"アプリケーションで開く"の所をクリックし、
[usr]→[bin]→[realplay]を選んで、
RealPlayerが起動するようにします。
聞かなくても起動したければ、
"今後この種類のファイルは同様に処理する"をクリックします。
